Nationals of Ibero-American countries can qualify for Spanish Citizenship after only 1-2 years
of residency

To qualify for citizenship after two years of residency, you must be a citizen of any Spanish-speaking country in the Americas (including Puerto Rico), Brazil, Portugal, Andorra, or the Philippines.

Spain does not enforce its requirement to renounce your existing citizenship (as opposed to Germany or Netherlands,
for example).

In Spain, the life expectancy is on average 82 years (that’s 79 for men, 85 for women). That’s up there with the big hitters of life expectancy – Switzerland, Italy, and Japan.
